Happy [post] Winter Solstice Cape Town!

Hopefully you can all sleep a little better knowing the days will only be getting longer from here on out until summertime :)

On the shortest day of this year, YogaLife celebrated the Winter Solstice by spending the weekend out at the beautiful and serene retreat centre of Bodhi Khaya, located just outside of Stanford in the stunning hills of the Overberg Region.

The weekend consisted of two daily yoga classes, evening meditations, tables of delicious food, nature walks (and runs for some of the overachievers), bonfire shenanigans and a blessing of warm sunshine from Mother Nature to boot!  The Niyama practice of Santosha (contentment) was at it’s best all weekend… and with fresh air, good company and lots of yoga…why wouldn’t it be??  We hope that YogaLifers left feeling refreshed, revitalized and ready to meet the rest of winter head on!

Thanks to everyone who came together to make the weekend a spectacular and special event – including all YogaLifers as well as Bodhi Khaya staff.  As always, it was a pleasure to spend time with like-minded yogis both on and off the mat, and outside of Cape Town.  Hopefully we will see your faces along with some newbie YogaLife retreaters the next trip we take!  If you’re keen to learn more about our next retreat or other upcoming events at YogaLife, contact kristi@yogalife.co.za.
